How To Add Foil To Diecuts Plus A Bonus!

Hello!

Hope you are having a great weekend so far!
Lisa here today to share a way to create foiled embellishments for a background with only a few products. I used the Foil Transfer Sheets, ScraPerfect’s Best Glue Ever and the Perfect Crafting Pouch along with Fancy Pants Family & Co for this fun Christmas layout:

These diecuts have been sitting on my desk for some time and I thought they would be perfect for this layout:

Using the Fine Tip Writing Cap on my Best Glue Ever bottle, I added some glue to the diecuts. Using a brush, I spread it over the diecuts:

I let it dry until it was clear, about 5 minutes. The glue is tacky:

I placed a Foil Transfer sheet, foil side up, on top of the diecut and used my finger to rub:

I didn’t spread the glue evenly so that I would get a more distressed look to my diecuts. I love how they turned out!

Next, I took the Perfect Crafting Pouch and ran it across the diecuts to remove any sticky residue from the glue:

Using the Best Glue Ever, I attached the foiled diecuts to my page:

Here’s the bonus part….
After I had glued down my diecuts, I realized I should have done my mixed media to the background first. I decide to add some mist using the packaging technique and decided to take a chance and placed it over the diecuts.

I was happy with the results: the foil resisted the mist and just went on my white cardstock background! If course, I did wipe the foil off with paper towel right after.

Here are a few close ups of my page:

I absolutely love how this page turned out and will be using both of these techniques again!
