Isn’t this layout super sweet? Read below for some tips and tricks that you can use for any layout or card.
Einat created this layout using the Perfect Crafting Pouch to print crisp images onto her paper. Here’s how she put it together:
She started by cropping her photos to 2″ by 4″. She then found several images of the Torah on line. She used ScraPerfect’s Strap ‘n’ Tap style of the Perfect Crafting Pouch to stop the ink from bleeding and to assure that the print on white cardstock would be PERFECT! (The Strap N Tap is the larger size pouch and while either size will work, the Strap N Tap is easier for larger pieces.)
Einat then printed her journaling on vellum. Inkjet printing on vellum can be frustrating when it beads up, gets smeared because it takes so long to dry. So, before printing, she used the Strap ‘n’ Tap pouch to keep her printing crisp! She just rubs the pouch onto the vellum before printing and it always comes out perfectly printed and dry! She used the Best Glue Ever to adhere the vellum because it dries clear and invisible. (Hint: Spread a VERY thin layer of glue on the whole piece of vellum. Give is a minute or less to dry before pressing it onto the paper.)
Next, she inked chipboard letters and embossed them with gold embossing powder. To make sure there is no static, she used the Strap n’ Tap pouch on the chipboard before stamping!
Then, she created a Star of David from wire. Einat used ScraPerfect’s Embellie Gellie to pick up the beads more easily and insert the wire into the beads.
And lastly, she adhered the photos, Torah images, and title to the paper then added a ribbon and beads to complete the layout.
PS Don’t you love how she substituted a shape for one of the letters? We think this is a FUN way to jazz up a title.
Use hearts, flowers, stars, musical notes, or even baby footprints in your titles and see how much cuter they are!
