October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I’d like to share a shaped card with a stamp set I got from A Jillian Vance Design called 2012 Hope Ink Pink set.
2012 Hope Card by Margie Higuchi Supplies – Cardstock: Darice; Stamp: A Jillian Vance Design (2012 Hope Ink Pink); Ink: Ranger (Distress Ink) and TSUKINEKO (VersaMark); Embossing Powder: Stampdeous (White); Glitter: American Craft; Dies: Spellbinders Paper Arts (LF-347 Labels Twenty-Three, LF-132 Grand Rectangles); Tool: Ranger (Ink Blending Tool) and ScraPerfect (the Perfect Crafting Pouch); Adhesive: ScraPerfect (the Best Glue Ever); Other: Foam Tape |
I first wanted to heat emboss the image so I prepared my cardstock by swiping the Perfect Crafting Pouch for a clean impression.
Next I cut/embossed two Labels Twenty-Three die cuts for my shaped card base, edged with ink and stamped the die cut with another sentiment which will be the back part of the card. I scored about ¾” from the top and applied the Best Glue Ever on the scored portion. Even up the two shapes to create the card base.
Using an ink blending tool, I covered the entire stamped card front with Spun Sugar Distress Ink until desired look. I wanted to apply glitter to one of the ribbon images on the stamp but it was a small area. The fine tip on the Best Glue Ever made it so easy to do. I waited shortly until the glue dried to clear and tacky so that the glitter would go on smoothly without any bumps.
So easy to do and I love how it turned out!
