Hello Everyone, Linda here to share How to add bling the quick and easy way. Recently I made a few gingerbread men for a junk journal and today I’m sharing that process with you.
Since I’ve been making Junk Journals I love finding new ways to use things I’ve had for years. I have a very large stamp collection. Here is a photo of a few of those stamps.
When I found the gingerbread man I knew I wanted to make an element for a Christmas Junk Journal. It could be a journal card or an embellishment.
What was used for How to add bling the quick and easy way.
ScraPerfect – Best Glue Ever
Colored Pencils
Stamped image on Kraft paper
Flat back rhinestone
Distress ink – Vintage Photo
Here is a video showing How to add bling the quick and easy way.
For this project How to add bling the quick and easy way. I started with stamping the gingerbread men in Black ink onto Kraft colored cardstock. Then I used my scissors to fussy cut the gingerbread men.
Choosing a few color of pencils I then colored in the areas I wanted on the gingerbread men. Then I used Distress Ink – Vintage Photo around the edges.
Sometimes it is hard to find the right glue to adhere items. The Best Glue Ever is perfect for these rhinestones as it doesn’t take very much and it holds quickly. Other glues the rhinestone would pop off the project. I just applied a small dot on the back of the rhinestone, used the tip of the glue to spread and then attached to the gingerbread men.
My hope is that I have inspired you to look differently at those items you have in your stash and use them in projects.
