How to Make a Beautiful Believe In Yourself Homemade Card

Hi, Robyn Coburn here with another guest design post using my sweet Lawn Fawn set, “Believe in Yourself” and the Sweater Weather mini Paper Pack. Here’s another embellished note card.

As the base card, I had a pack of unbranded note cards with a woodgrain print. You can get similar cards from Lawn Fawn. Other elements are Color Box inks, washi tape, colored pencils, Basic Grey rub-on in a floral design, and scraps of craft foam as risers. Tools were Best Glue Ever, Cuttlebug, Embellie Gellie to help place elements, my Westcott paper cutter, and of course Best Cleaner Ever and Perfect Cleaning Cloth to clean the stamps.

I stamped, cut and colored the Jackalope from the tiny polka dot paper. I used the foam scraps to raise the image above its “shadow” piece. I stamped the words Believe in Yourself on the “notebook” print of the mini paper pack, using the sweet hanging hearts in the corner. I inked the edges quickly for some emphasis, and glued it to a mat piece of the same yellow polka dot.

I positioned a rub-on featuring grasses and reeds in coordinating colors on the trimmed and torn green piece, then ran a line of washi tape across the bottom. I  then adhered the background, the sentiment block, and the jackalope to the front of the card. Finally I stamped the rest of the sentiment – (I believe in you) – on the tape. For slick tape, or ribbon, pre-treat with Perfect Crafting Pouch.

I’m really happy with this one too.
