Hi Amy Here with a card and Video Tutorial using Lawn Fawn’s “Meow You Doin” stamp and die sets. It’s been a hoot with ScraPerfect and Lawn Fawn sharing products and ideas: ScraPerfect tools and techniques with Lawn Fawn’s adorable designs and quality products.
After “oohing and aching” over the cuteness-factor, it was time to put ink to paper – uh or- ribbon as the main technique I decided to focus on was showing how to stamp and prevent bleeding on ribbon (or polyester twill tape, as the case may be). For this step, ScraPerfect’s Perfect Crafting Pouch is a MUST!
The First Step is to stamp on the paper and then align the dies to cut. Using a bit of washi tape to hold the dies in place makes it easy. And don’t worry about placement, the die will cut right through the tape.
There are super fine details of Glossy Accents on the cats’ noses and the candle/flame, as well as glitter on the ball of yarn, and tiny specs of glitter on the cats’ bodies. That was easy-peasy with ScraPerfect’s No-Clog Writing caps and the Best Glue Ever.
There are other little tricks I snuck in such as: changing a horizontal word strip to a sinuous curve (a wave, for those non-math nerds amongst us), and creating a popped-up “banner” from nothing more than a stamp on paper, glue & cardboard. There are more, so look for other tricks to glean from the video!
SO sit back and watch this video and then grab your stuff and get to work PLAY!
