Where it all began: How to Get Crisp Printing Results on Vellum

Hello and welcome to the blog today!  Shelly with you, sharing a sugar skull card made with a background printed on vellum.

With this die cut crown / heart – I knew I wanted a sugar skull background that did not take away from my glittered main element.  And vellum was my answer.

If you have ever tried to print on vellum, you know it can be a mess!  Enter the Perfect Crafting Pouch.

The Perfect Crafting Pouch was the first product in the ScraPerfect line – – and it can be used in so many ways!

Simply tap the pouch on your vellum and release the magic powder before running it through your printer.

The Perfect Crafting Pouch insures a crisp printed image & quick drying.

After printing, I trimmed my vellum to fit onto pink card.  Using Best Glue Ever and the No Clog Writing Tip, I “tacked” my vellum with small dots of glue to the cardstock to hold in place.

Next, I machine stitched the vellum to the cardstock.  For the same effect, you could also hand stitch or faux stitch with a black pen.

Using Best Glue Ever, adhere your vellum/cardstock piece to the center of your card base and use the Perfect Cleaning Cloth to smooth out any air bubbles and make sure piece is securely attached.

The No Clog Writing Tip allows you to apply Best Glue Ever to small areas of intricate die cuts – SO EASY!

To finish your card, attached die cut and high light with Diamond Dew Drops.

So go grab some vellum from your stash and start using it again!

Thanks for stopping by — have a creative week!
