How To Make A Valentine’s Day Easel Card With ScraPerfect

Hi there!  Kim here today to show you a quick and fun Valentine’s project I made with the help of the
Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect.  I created an easel card for my sweetheart, check it out:

Making an easel card is simple, so follow these steps and you can make one too!  Take your blank card and open flat.  The top half of the card needs to be scored with a bone folder and folded in half.

Then fold the top half of the top of the card down towards the bottom.  That becomes the easel part of the card.

You will need to attach something to the front of the bottom card to hold the easel piece in place.  Ideally, it should not be flat but have some dimension.  I put some foam tape down and then some red and white polka dot ribbon.  I used another style ribbon as well, but used a thin line of the Best Glue Ever since the two ribbons overlapped.

Now, I grabbed some pre-stamped pieces from my stash and started constructing the easel part of the card.  I used the Best Glue Ever (always with the large No Clog Writing Cap on top) to attach my components to the card since it is the “quickest stick” for paper.  I only used tiny dots of glue, a little goes a long way!

For added dimension and pop, I used foam tape on the back of some of the pieces as well.  I continued adding pieces to the inside, back side of the easel, and back of my card until I was happy with how it looked.  I gave the entire card a few quick hits with a red shimmer spray from my stash as well.

As embellishments, I used heart stickers, wooden pieces, a paper doily, a couple of red buttons, white enamel dots, a red glitter paper clip, and some red and white baker’s twine from my stash.  If the embellishments weren’t self adhesive, I used the Best Glue Ever to secure them to my card.
Here are more photos of my quick and fun Valentine’s Day easel card, I hope you like it:
