Embellishing A Christmas Wreath Quickly with ScraPerfect

Hi there!  Kim here today to share a Christmas project that was easy to embellish thanks to ScraPerfect.  I made a wreath that is so simple that if you can tie a knot, you can make it!
All you need is a metal ring or wooden embroidery hoop (the size of your choice), about a yard of fabric, and some scissors.  I find making these relaxing and the variations in both fabric and embellishments make the inspiration endless.  For me, this wreath has more pizazz because of the embellishments.  Here is my Christmas wreath, what do you think?
Here is how I made it.  Cut (using your choice of regular scissors or pinking shears) 6 inch long strips of the fabric of your choice.  The strips should be 1 inch wide.  Start tying fabric strips around your ring.  When you get half way, pull them as close together as possible.  Keep going until your ring is full.  Fluff your wreath with your hands until pretty.  Here is what I did on mine:
Easy, right?  Now you are ready to embellish.  I used a store bought wooden ornament to hang down from the middle of my wreath.  To give it more dimension, I traced the lettering with the Best Glue Ever.  I was able to do this precisely since I have the No Clog Writing Cap on my bottle of glue.  It’s a must have for precision work!
Then, I sprinkled some white, snowy glitter on top of the glue.  I let it cure overnight, then shook off the excess glitter.  I also tied some white seam binding through the rope loop to hang it from the top of my wreath.
I wanted to also use some small, wooden snowflakes as embellishments on my wreath.  I decided to heat emboss them with some sparkly, white embossing powder using my heat tool.  Whenever I am heat embossing, I use my Perfect Crafting Pouch.  It is the best at preventing stray or extra embossing powder (or glitter) from sticking due to it’s amazing anti static properties!
To use the Perfect Crafting Pouch, simply swipe it across whatever you are embossing BEFORE you use your embossing pad.  A small tap works well too.
Next, I used the Best Glue Ever to adhere my embossed snowflakes to the end of the fabric strip.  I also attached some to the center of some organza flowers from my stash with the Best Glue Ever.  I also attached a pearl to the center of each flower and snowflake with the Best Glue Ever. To complete my wreath, I tied two pieces of white seam binding that I misted with water (and then scrunched up) to the bottom of my wreath.  As always, before I leave the craft room with messy fingers, I give my hands a couple of squirts of the Best Cleaner Ever.  Nothing works better on crafty hands and is non toxic too!
These products from ScraPerfect really made this project easy, quick, and clean.  Be sure to keep the Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap, the Perfect Crafting Pouch, and the Best Cleaner Ever on your craft desk ready to go. Here’s another look at my Christmas wreath, hope you like it!
