For those that like a step by step tutorial please enjoy the following photo tutorial showing how to make the Super Easy Earthday Altered Paperclip with ScraPerfect.
To begin, fold the book page in half and then tear or cut on that fold line. Fold one of these pieces in half, then unfold and apply ScraPerfects Best Glue Ever on one side of the fold, press closed. Fold the page in half again.
Open the fold and place a paperclip on the folded edge in the center of the back. It will look like a booklet. The front is where the decorations will go. Apply BGE around the paperclip and paper. Press closed.
Place the altered paperclip base into spray box, apply lace stencil and spray with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.
Use a scrap of paper to mop up the overspray. This can be used to make another altered paperclip or other projects.
Take out the sprayed base and prepare for the next step.
Apply Distress Inks around the edges of the Calico Collage Digital Image from the Day Dreaming Kit.
Place a fine line of BGE around the edge of the back of the image.
Affix to the blue mat that has had distress inks applied to the edges.
On the back side of the mat apply a thin line of BEG but leave the top open so that this can become a pocket. Attach to the Altered Paperclip Base.
Next, we will make a tag to go into the pocket. Using a strip of scrap watercolor paper round the top corners with a 1/4 Crop-A-Dial corner chomper. Then apply Distress Ink around the edges. Add a swirl of BEG on the top edge and lay a piece of flat lace over the glue. This Super Easy Earthday Altered Paperclip with ScraPerfect is almost done.
Layer the Oval Scalloped shape and the domino image on top of the lace.
Cut a piece of eyelash yarn about 1/2 long and add a drop of glue on the Altered Paperclip Base lower right corner. Touch the punched heart to the glue and then sandwich the eyelash yarn between the heart and the base. Do the same with a butterfly on the tags left side.
Attach the ScraPerfect Medium No Clog Cap to the Tulip Dimensional Glitter Paint bottle.
The fine point on the Medium No Clog Cap is great for adding touches of glitter paint.
Draw with the Tulip Glitter Paint around the butterfly wings and down the body. Add a drop of Glitter paint to the heart.
The Best Cleaner Ever is a perfect way to prevent your no Clog Tip from clogging. Just dip the end into a drop of the BCE and replace the cap. It will be ready to use the next time you open the bottle.
Time to attach the rhinestones using the Embellie Gellie. It is a lot easier than using tweezers. Place the tags into the tops of the paperclip base. You have just finished the Super Easy Earthday Altered Paperclip with ScraPerfect. Wasn’t that easy?
